Im out in a field, there are lots of people sitting watching the sunset. I walk over and sit next to my stepfather (who I don't have a relationship with). It feels safe. We are facing the sun, watching it set. I decided to look behind me and see the moon rising. It is bright and beautiful, changing phases as it rises. It gets really big and suddenly as it's full, it starts to shrink in size. The sun sets and the moon is shrinking. It shrinks until it's a dot. There's a moment of stillness. It feels like the world is about to implode. There's a 'pop' and a. knowing that the moon is gone. All of a sudden I'm falling into darkness, but I'm not scared. I'm waiting to hear people scream, but it doesn't come. All I can think is that I want to tell my loved ones 'goodbye' and ' I love you.' Then I wake up.
This dream can symbolize your current emotional state and relationships in your life. Sitting next to your stepfather in a peaceful setting suggests a desire for reconciliation or acceptance, even if your bond is not strong. The sunset signifies the end of something—perhaps a phase in your life or an emotion that you are ready to let go of. The rising moon represents the potential for new beginnings and enlightenment, yet its shrinking indicates feelings of loss or fear of change. The moment when the moon disappears and you start to fall may reflect your anxiety about uncertainty or the fear of losing those connections you cherish. However, your calm acceptance in the darkness reveals your inner strength and love for those around you, showing that even amidst chaos, you prioritize those you care about. Overall, this dream reflects a journey through emotional transition, the importance of closure, and the need for connection.
